My brother Arno maried Bruna in Rio 6 years ago. 7th of January 2016 my beautiful niece Joana, (Jojo) was born. When she was three months old she was diagnosed with the terrible desiase SMA type 1 (Spinal Muscular Atrofy) this means that she loses her ability to move.
But last month we have got wunderfull news. She can go for threatment in Paris.
This is a costly matter, because to bring her to Holland with her parents and a doctor the flights will cost over 20000 euro. Because she needs to be transported on a special bed with equipment. Then we do not even speak about the treatment and costs for the several visits to Paris. 
During the treatment she will stay with my parents in Holland.   She has to go six times to Paris the first year and after that 3 times a year.

I know that a lot friends from Europe would like to suppport Joana as well. They could not do that on the website in Brazil. That is why I open this  donation fund to help Joana fight for SMA  from the Netherlands.
