Al Saracevic Memorial

Al passed away unexpectedly last Saturday, aged 52. He leaves behind his wife Jenn and their children Maggie and Sam.

Al was an avid family and newspaper man. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Al and his wife Jenn have spent over 25 years in the Bay Area. Al was a columnist and editor at the Examiner and Chronicle, covering the first dot-com era, the Giants three World Series championships, the Warrriors five NBA Finals appearances and the city's political and business personalities. When he wasn't chasing a story, he could be found camping with friends and family or traveling afar to his native Croatia. Al had an outsized impact on Bay Area journalism; he will be deeply missed by many.

Any help for Al's family at this difficult and stressful time will be much appreciated. Our goal is to ease the burden on Jenn, Maggie and Sam. All donations will go directly to support them.
