Alan Chappell known as Al Chap, sadly passed away on Sunday 23rd March 2025 due to a ruptured brain aneurysm and a brain haemorrhage.

Al passed away just 9 days after his son, Justin Chappell, who passed away from a suspected epileptic seizure on Friday 14th March 2025.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances Alan and Justin will be having separate funerals.

This has been a very unexpected and devastating time for the Chappell family and the support and love hasn’t gone unnoticed to his family.

Al was a special man and touched many peoples lives. He was a dad to his three daughters and his son Justin, a stepdad, a grandad, uncle, and a beautiful friend.

Al was a funny and kind soul, always helping people where he could and loved people calling round for a Birmingham coffee/posh coffee (as he would tell his friends and family).

Al was also in the parachute regiment in the 1970s and served as a paratrooper for over 7 years. Al was a huge Manchester City fan which was well known throughout his friends and family.

All money donated will be gifted to his three daughters which will help towards funeral costs.
