11/2 Update! So Al had his post op 2 week visit, surgeon said he has bone splinters and you can totally see the mess that is his leg in his x rays so Al is not arguing, but he is unhappy about being stuck in a rehab facility in Sacramento still. He will be there for awhile longer in case any of those splinters start moving or anything else goes wrong. It’s pretty technical stuff and our hospitals can’t handle it. So your donations are critical and thank you! He can’t do much from the hospital bed or wheelchair in Sacramento. Looks like a few more weeks to a month before he can possibly return home. They say there’s a 70% chance he won’t need a bone graft surgery so fingers crossed.

Sunday 10/8 was a beautiful day, Al was riding home from work on his Panhead. Ride to live, live to ride; when someone pulled out and stopped right in front of him on highway255!

He was life flighted to Sacramento UCDavis and they managed to save his leg, but it’s going to be months of wheelchairs and a very hard road, unable to work or even drive. He’s got a broken right ankle and left femur that’s being plated together (it was poking out of his leg), hopefully won’t need a bone graft… and many other more minor injuries. You all know Al has a heart of gold and he’d do it for you. Donate if you can. Help him pay his bills for a couple months at least so he can get back on two wheels! Thank you.

update… he is in a rehab center in Sacramento. We are trying to transfer him back to Humboldt but they want him by his surgeon for now. He is tough as nails and feeling the love but it’s an uphill battle. Thank you all! Every bit helps. His mental health too! Send funny jokes and stories. We will know more early next week. Stay safe
