Offering a Helping Hand to Megan
Donation protected
We're reaching out to ask for your help supporting our friend and colleague, Megan Brotherton. Megan's husband, Gary, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 30th. Megan shared some beautiful words about Gary that we wanted to share with you:
Gary Brotherton (September 26, 1951 – November 30, 2024) embraced life with a vibrant personality, huge smile, and love for people. His curiosity was endless—he loved learning new things and sharing his discoveries. An accomplished commercial twin-engine pilot and sailor, he was fascinated by the art and science of celestial navigation and began working towards his captain’s license. His diverse interests included snow skiing, road cycling, traveling, brewing, distilling, fishing, hunting, ranching, vegetable gardening, and playing the banjo. Known for his hospitality, he loved cooking for friends and neighbors. Gary dedicated numerous hours every month to volunteer work, teaching community members the practical application of Bible principles in modern life. He was a highly skilled heavy equipment operator and ran machinery for excavation projects throughout Oregon and in the Los Angeles area with the Operating Engineers. His love for his wife of 27 years, Megan, and his God was profound, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
We want to support Megan during this difficult time as she is navigating this difficult loss and also facing expensive medical treatments. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and show Megan that she has our support. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
