Hi, my name is Tonya and I am fundraising for Megan Sheehan Palmer.

Megan is one of the kindest individuals you will have the pleasure of calling your friend. I have seen firsthand all the love and devotion she puts into any task that is put upon her. She has always gone above and beyond for anyone in need and has been an active member of Back Mountain Regional (Dallas Fire and Ambulance) for over 30 years serving the back mountain community.

Megan initially had Covid over Christmas which kept her out of work for an extended period. She then developed blood clots in both of her lungs causing her to be hospitalized locally. While in the local hospital, Megan was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. She was immediately transferred to Danville to begin what will be an extensive course of treatment.

Megan is always the first person to offer help to anyone in need. She has selflessly given to friends and strangers alike. As a member of the fire and ambulance, she has given countless hours, daytime, nighttime, weekends, and holidays. Her community comes first! Volunteering with the local emergency services is only one part of Megan's involvement in her community. She also has given her time to the Irem Temple Shrine Circus for the past 30+ years, assisted with a local fishing derby every year, you would be sure to see her at the Back Mountian Harvest Festival, and the list goes on and on.

Megan has been unable to work since before Christmas due to her health. She will have an unknown amount of medical bills to contend with as well as the typical everyday expenses. I am asking that this community pull together and show Megan that we are willing to help her as much as she has helped all of us.
