Simba's medical expenses
Donation protected
For nearly the last 12 years I have been blessed to have Simba there for me through some of the hardest moments I can imagine. Now he is having a hard moment.
Simba recently began showing signs of distress and this past week I have taken him into three different clinics near my hometown of Cincinnati that has left us with more questions than answers.
Today Simba had a visit with a specialist
The diagnosis came back similar to the x-rays and ultrasound I got at the vet yesterday. They see masses that shouldn't be where they are but cannot describe what they are and how they could be treated, without further financial commitments.
I'm bracing for the possibility it is lymphoma. Would not give Simba a very positive outlook but the not knowing is killing me inside. It's a real possibility. It is also possible It's completely unrelated to his current issues. They just can't be certain without the biopsies and scans.
I've already spent a couple thousand dollars on his visits and the biopsies and CT scans needed were quoted between 5-6 thousand dollars but could vary quite a bit depending on what the biopsies find and how we approach treating whatever the masses are.
To be honest I just can't afford it right now. I just spent the last 8 months paying off the costs of Little's medical bills when she passed last year and I don't know what else to do except ask for help.
I try to never ask for help but this time I know I need it. If you can contribute in any way it is very much appreciated.
As someone who has been on both sides, someone able to help others in need and being in need of help myself, I am giving myself some grace and doing what's best for my baby boy.
Thank you for reading our story.
