Hi, my name is Richard Albershardt, I'm trying to raise funds to help with the care, comfort, and security of my Father. He is 91 years old, he just lost the love of his life and wife of 66 years and now he has throat cancer. The expenses involved in taking care of him are starting to become more than I can pay for myself, and before I run out of funds, I'm going to try to raise some money to help my Dad. He lost the income from my Mother's social security when she passed away, and at 91, he has outlived his cash. I'm doing everything I can to help my Dad, and going to Florida to be with him as frequently as possible, but money is starting to become an issue. I have put off doing this because I've been able to cover the expenses myself, as I said before, going forward, that will become a problem. My Dad very much wants to continue to live, and he's up for the battle, and at the mercy of Medicare. Navigating the Florida Healthcare system requires an advocate, I am durable power of attorney for my Father, so I am legally enabled to conduct business on his behalf. Taking care of my Dad is my sole purpose in life right now, doing this while I'm in New York, and my Dad is in Florida is very stressful. Thank God for airplanes, computers, telephones and a handful of friends in Florida for all of their help, but it's not enough.
