Funeral information:
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 8th from 12:30-2:30pm at First Christian Church in North Vernon, IN with a memorial service starting at 2:30pm.
A celebration of life will be held a week later, March 15th at Phat Guys Bar and Grill in North Vernon, IN starting at 4pm.

It is with great sadness that we must announce that Richard has passed on. Keeping Richard in your hearts and prayers, we were able to have 64 more days with him and now he is no longer in pain. For that we are eternally grateful. Funeral details will follow, but we wanted to let everyone know that they're love and support through this time was so much appreciated by the family. For this GoFundMe, we will use the money raised for Richard to help pay funeral expenses, with any remaining given to his wife and kids.
Rest in peace, Richard Herr, who was born February 13, 1984 and died March 3, 2026.
In late December, Richard Herr, had a sudden illness that caused his liver to go into failure. He very nearly lost his life, but after 50 days in the hospital, he has started to recover. However, he has a very long way to go and his wife and 5 children are anxious to see him come home. He will need a liver transplant, but beyond that, he will need some financial help to get him the care he needs.
