Hey yall! My name is Akiya, and I was born with a 10mm-sized hole in my heart called ASD (Atrial Septal Defect). I never got surgery for it when I was younger, which now has caused strain on the right side of my heart and lungs! My surgery is scheduled for January 4th, 2027, and unfortunately my insurance will only cover half! I’m raising funds to help cover what I can and the 4 weeks I’ll need to recover and heal.
