AKISAN USA Fundraiser to Bury Inyene Okokon
Donation protected
Distinguished Brothers and Sisters,
You may recall the story of the demise of our sister Inyene Effiong Okokon who passed away inexplicably in her apartment at Arlington, Dallas, on June 1st 2020 leaving her two year old daughter crying her hearts out until neighbors had to call the police in to rescue the child.
Background information about Ms Okokon:
Inyene, was from Uyo, Itam in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. She had her secondary education at Cornelia Connelly College, Afaha Oku, Uyo (Class of ’97) and furthered her Education at the University of Uyo, graduating in 2004.
She was popularly known for her girl child advocacy in Akwa Ibom State, partly because she was orphaned at an early age, hence her passion for the girl child with peculiar circumstances.
She came into the Unites States to seek greener pastures and ended up on her own in Dallas. Her life was unfortunately cut short by the cold hands of death leaving her little baby in the custody of the Government currently.
Presently, Inyene’s corpse lies unclaimed in a private morgue and needs to be buried. If not claimed in two weeks, her corpse will be sent back to the county. Only God knows what will happen when this happens.
We are soliciting your financial support to bequeath our sister a resting place.
Any donations received in excess of funeral costs will be used to set up a trust fund for Inyene's daughter, Bella.
God bless you in advance for your donations.
Thank you
