Hello, my name is Katrina and I am starting this fundraiser to help raise money for medical expenses for my in-law's family dog. Akira is a two-year-old Akita who has been having problems with vision since October 2022. 

Akira’s condition has been well-managed with medication since last October, but unfortunately the medication was not a permanent fix, and his eyes ruptured earlier this month. Akira is now totally blind, has severe inflammation in his eyes, and is in constant pain. This surgery is the best option he has to relieve these symptoms and give him his life back.
