Hello, friends of Akiko and her wonderful family!!

 

As many of you know, Akiko has raised 4 amazing sons as a single mother in a country where English is not her first language. She has overcome many obstacles in her life and always comes through with a smile on her face.

 

In October, Akiko was diagnosed with breast cancer and is about to start her first treatment soon. Along with the physical strain that chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation take on your body, the financial strain when you can't work due to sickness can be extremely stressful. With this GoFundMe page, we have an opportunity to be a support to Akiko in her time of need. Any amount is helpful and adds up and if you want to include an encouraging comment that would be great too. She will use the money for rent, utilities, and food over the next year while she goes through treatment.
