Hi I’m Kayne and I’m fundraising for my high school friend Akhil, based in Kochi, India.
STORY:
Help Akhil Get a Second Chance at Life
Akhil was a natural-born footballer whose passion for the game was unmatched. From childhood, everyone knew he was destined for greatness on the field. But just as his career was taking off, life took a cruel turn.
During his first year of college, Akhil was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy (Berger’s Disease, Stage 4), which led to kidney failure. His mother selflessly donated her kidney, and in 2013, he underwent a successful transplant. Akhil fought to reclaim his life, even making his way back onto the field.
Four months ago, he was diagnosed with jaundice, and further tests confirmed the worst—his transplanted kidney had failed. He has been undergoing dialysis twice a week for the past four months, but his only chance at survival is another transplant. This time, his family must find a donor and raise the funds needed—an overwhelming challenge they can’t face alone.
We, his friends, are reaching out for your help. Akhil has always been a fighter, but now he needs us to fight for him. Every donation, no matter the size, brings him closer to the transplant he desperately needs. If you can’t donate, please share his story and keep him in your prayers.
Let’s give Akhil the chance to live the life he deserves.

Thank you!
