Hi, my name is Akeyla, and I’m 21 years old trying to rebuild my life with faith, independence, and purpose. I’ve been without a car for months, and it’s affected almost everything — from getting to work and school, to just having peace of mind. I’ve walked, Ubered, borrowed, and stretched every dollar I have just to keep going. But I’m not giving up.

I’ve stayed focused on my healing, my education, and my future. I’ve been consistent with job applications, staying in school, and working on content that reflects my growth. I’ve also been building my relationship with God and trying to move out of survival mode into stability.

A car would mean freedom — freedom to take jobs I’m offered, to show up on time, to feel safe, and to no longer depend on people who may or may not show up for me. I’m currently trying to raise $1,205, which would cover everything needed to secure a reliable car and stay in motion toward a better life.

Even if someone has offered to help, I’ve learned the hard way that not everything promised happens — and I want to be prepared. I’m asking for help so I don’t have to keep living with uncertainty. Every dollar, every share, every kind message helps me take a step toward independence.
