Hello, my name is Tiesha, and on behalf of my aunt Felicia I would like to ask you all for some time of your day. Where do I begin, my aunt Felicia is a proud mother of three lovely boys, and they are her world. Back in 2015 her second child Akeli (22) was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. What is cardiomyopathy you ask – it’s a disease of the heart muscle, a condition that makes it hard for the heart to deliver blood to the body and can lead to heart failure. When she received the news of course as any other mother that was devasting news to her, him, his two brothers and father.

 

 I ask you to imagine the pain that she felt when finding her son having a stroke this year February of 2021. His stroke was caused by a small blood clot found on the brain. Prior to having the stroke Akeli was a vibrant respectful young man. He worked for Safeway Transportation in Waukegan IL where he drove and transported children of special needs to school. In his spare time, he dedicated himself to his passion of music. He writes his own music and rap. Many may know him by his stage name Big Boss Kezo. You can find some of his tunes on YouTube.

 

 If anyone knows Felicia, then you know firsthand how she feels about her boys.  Once her son had this life changing moment, she decided then she was done with work for however long she needs to be. She has been by his side every day the hospital allows, which is 8 hours a day due to covid19. Imagine how that can feel as your son needs to learn how to speak and needs to have physical therapy for his right arm and you can only spend 8 out of 24 hours with him. So naturally she is going to need help with things he would need for after care, household bills, gas to and from appointments. As many are ahead. So, I ask you to assist her and her family with any amount that you can to help him conquer his future endeavors to become strong again.
