Akao House Fire
Donation protected
Aloha,
As some of you may know, our parents Darren and Freda Akao recently bought the cutest little house in Wyoming. It was to be their first home that they could finally call theirs. The house was small and it was old. It definitely needed some fixing. But that didn't discourage them. They had plans and ideas to turn this house into their home.
At 5am this morning, our mom woke up to their little house in a blaze while firefighters battled the flames. Our dad looked helplessly through a video call all the way from Hawaii where he has been working. Thankfully they were not actively living in the house yet, but in a trailer right next door. No one was injured, no belongings destroyed. After what seemed like hours of watching their little home turn to ash, the Fire Marshall concluded that it was arson.
Our hearts ache for them. Their hopes and dreams went up in flames along with that house. They've worked so hard and put so much into this just to have someone burn it to the ground. Our parents are good people. They're genuine and caring. They are always there for you, they always try to help. If you've ever met them then you know if can, can.
Sadly, the house was not insured while they were renovating. Not only did they lose their house but all the money and work they put into it. We are asking for donations to help with the costs to start rebuilding. Our mom and dad may be shaken and hurt but we know that they will get through this because we believe in them and will be by their side through it all. Thank you for taking the time to read this, anything helps! Mahalo ❤
