@alnajishymaa: “I grew up in this house; it has always been the safe place for me and my siblings. I remember experiencing so much tranquility only in this place with my parents and my siblings.
My father built this house with blood, sweat, and tears. I remember that we built it room by room and laid the tiles for each space gradually. My earliest memory ever was in this house.
Today, on 21-Nov-2023, Israel destroyed the whole neighborhood, including our house which was severely damaged.
During the past 45 days, my father kept saying I would never leave this house; this is our home and no home elsewhere. We belong here and nowhere else. It was his own way of resistance.
This morning, my father's heart was broken; he was forced to leave the house and the whole neighborhood, with my siblings and their two little kids to stay safe from the random and heavy bombing and air missiles..
This world is so messed up; this world is fucked up; this world needs to be shaken so fucking hard”

Hi everyone, we're four sisters reaching out with heavy hearts to share the heartbreaking story of our family in Northern Gaza, who have been enduring the devastating situation of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since the 7th of October.

We were raised in a close-knit family in Beit Lahia, near Kamal Edwan Hospital. We left our hometown to pursue our dreams, while my other siblings decided to stay home and build their lives in the place we all grew up. Our parents always pushed us to work hard and stay humble and kind to others. Despite all the difficult circumstances and hard times, they have consistently provided us with what we need and never made us feel uncovered or unsafe.

Since the first day of this aggression, my family has experienced numerous difficulties and devastating events. My sister Mai, along with her husband and their 1-year-old daughter Mila, lost their entire house and belongings, forcing them to move into our family’s house. A week later, my other sister Afaf, with her 3-year-old son Oday, faced a similar situation. After heavy bombings in the neighborhood and the street in front of her house, she had no choice but to evacuate her residence in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood (northwest Gaza) and seek safety at my family's house. But no place in Gaza is safe; nowhere is safe at all.

On the morning of November 21, 2023, Israel severely attacked our neighborhood near Kamal Edwan Hospital. They destroyed seven residential buildings in the area, including the one next to our house. As a result, our family’s house was severely damaged, forcing them to evacuate to the south, seeking a safe place from the heavy and random bombing.

Currently, ten members of my family, including two children, share a house with another family under unimaginable living conditions, and it is heartbreaking to witness our loved ones endure such hardships and pain.

With a deep sense of urgency and heavy hearts, we are reaching out to friends who have encouraged us to seek support and to all compassionate people who share the belief that no one should face such circumstances. We humbly ask for your support to help our family in the reconstruction of their damaged home and to provide the basic essentials they need to rebuild their lives.

The narrative above is a condensed version, and the depth of what my family has experienced and continues to endure goes beyond what words can fully express.

We will continue to update the page as we receive more information from our family once the internet connection is restored in Gaza.
