I have been around golf my entire life because my family owns a golf repair/fitting business. My dad would take me to the driving range when I was around 4 or 5. But golf didn’t play a big part in my life until I grew to love the game during my junior year of high school. My first love was softball and I had hopes and dreams to play for Team USA someday. I also played club soccer for a few years.
I attended Cal State University of Monterey Bay (CSUMB), where my passion for golf grew and I began to take the game seriously. I was very lucky to find a college coach who understood my athletic background and took a chance on me. My golf game improved immensely because at CSUMB our home golf courses were Bayonet and Black Horse. I was an All-American and #1 in the West region during my senior year.
I have been competing professionally for the last 3 years on the mini tour circuit and in a few LPGA Monday qualifiers. This year has been my most successful season: I have won 3 times on the mini tour called the Cactus Tour and got through stage 1 of LPGA qualifying. I recently competed at Stage 2 of LPGA qualifying. That entails having conditional status on the Symetra tour for the 2019 season.
I am driven to work on improving my game to reach my highest potential. I play because I love the game and because I’m always inspired to challenge myself, but competing brings with it the costs of travel, accommodations, tournament entry fees, caddies, and golf lessons. And that’s why I’m creating this gofundme campaign. With your help, I can pursue my goal to achieve all that I can in a sport I care so much about.
Your support and encouragement mean more to me than I can express.
If you would like to contact me along the way, you can email me at [email redacted]
