13 years Christmas busking $20,000 for charity

Donation protected
For 13 years, Mike and Ben Zhou and their young friends have played Christmas carols busking for charity, rain, heat or shine. They’ve collected and donated $15,005 to charities. I am Rohan Brown, retired Deputy Headmaster of Trinity Grammar School, and Mike and Ben were my students.

It all started in 2010 Christmas when Mike and Ben (then 8 and 6) first played violin busking and raised $28.40! On 10 December 2022, 40 young musicians from Trinity, Ruyton, MLC, Scotch, Balwyn and Deepdene primary schools etc formed a mini-orchestra busking for charities outside Woolworth Camberwell. Local MPs Dr Monique Ryan, Jess Wilson and John Pesutto and Trinity Grammar School Principal and Deputy Principal Adrian Farrer and Susan Hill all attended and supported this worthy initiative.

TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donations can be made to Burmese children via Entrust Foundation or St Paul's Cathedral Music Foundation, both registered charities.
