ENGLISH: My name is Carla, and some time ago I was in a car accident that completely changed my life. The impact was so strong that I suffered serious spinal injuries—one in my neck and another in my lower back. I needed surgery, but unfortunately I couldn’t get it because I didn’t have the resources.

Not long after, I fell, and while trying to protect myself, I fractured both hands and my left elbow — which is my dominant arm. These injuries made everything worse, causing two herniated discs and leaving me unable to do any task that requires effort or impact.

Since then, every pain crisis leaves me unable to work for days, and the debts have been piling up to the point where they’re overwhelming. I’m facing a very large debt, and on top of that, I urgently need medical treatment so I can recover and have my quality of life back. I don’t want to return to Brazil, but I really need help to get through this difficult moment.

So from the bottom of my heart, I’m asking: any amount you can donate will make a huge difference in my life. PORTUGUESE: Meu nome é Carla e, há algum tempo, sofri um acidente de carro que mudou completamente minha vida. O impacto foi tão forte que tive lesões sérias na coluna, uma na nuca e outra na lombar, exigindo intervenção cirúrgica que, infelizmente, não pude realizar por falta de recursos. Pouco tempo depois, sofri uma queda e, ao tentar me proteger, fraturei as duas mãos e o cotovelo esquerdo, que é meu braço dominante. Essas lesões agravaram ainda mais meu quadro, agravando mais as duas hérnias na coluna e tornando impossível realizar qualquer esforço ou movimento que gere impacto.

Desde então, cada crise de dor me deixa dias sem conseguir trabalhar, o que fez com que as dívidas se acumulassem e se tornassem cada vez mais difíceis de quitar. Estou enfrentando uma dívida muito alta e, além disso, preciso de tratamentos médicos  para conseguir me recuperar e voltar a ter qualidade de vida. Não quero voltar para o Brasil, mas preciso muito de ajuda para superar esse momento tão difícil.
