Ajuda para o Funeral da Kamilla Silva

A single mother, sister, daughter, beloved friend, and a fighter! 

Kamilla Silva, passed away on the night of April 1st, 2022, after nearly three grueling years on the fight against metastatic gastric cancer. Kamilla leaves behind her only son, Nicholas Goncalves, who has been her biggest inspiration and motivation throughout the past couple of years to continue to fight. Nicholas is only 13 and is on his path to complete middle school this year. He’s now in the custody and care of his aunt and grandmother. 

Kamilla was first diagnosed in May of 2019, at which point, the doctors determined the disease had already progressed to stage four. The news was extremely devastating to Kamilla and everyone in the family. In the immediate week following the diagnosis, Kamilla already began the journey of chemo and radiation therapy, and this became her routine for the last three years. Through many painful moments, faints, sleepless nights, and hospital visits, Kamilla and her family remained resilient and hopeful in the fight for her life.  

While Kamilla’s mother worked to maintain the household, her sister, Thandara Marinho dedicated the last few years as her primary care giver, taking full time care of her sister and nephew. With only their mother working, one can only imagine the financial strain this caused in the family. Kamilla was truly beloved by all those around her, and her family wishes to provide her the funeral service she imagined for herself before passing.

Uma mãe solteira, irmã, filha, amiga amada e uma guerreira! 

Kamilla Silva, faleceu na noite de 1º de abril de 2022, após quase três anos extenuantes na luta contra o câncer gástrico metastático. Kamilla deixa seu único filho, Nicholas Gonçalves, que tem sido sua maior inspiração e motivação ao longo dos últimos tres anos para continuar lutando. Nicholas tem apenas 13 anos e está a caminho de concluir o ensino médio este ano. Ele agora está sob custódia e cuidado de sua tia e avó. 

O primeiro diagnóstico de Kamilla foi em maio de 2019, quando os médicos determinaram que a doença já havia progredido para o estágio quatro. A notícia foi extremamente devastadora para Kamilla e todos da família. Na semana seguinte ao diagnóstico, Kamilla já começou a jornada de quimioterapia e radioterapia, e isso se tornou sua rotina nos últimos três anos. Através de muitos momentos dolorosos, desmaios, noites sem dormir e visitas ao hospital, Kamilla e sua família permaneceram resilientes e esperançosos na luta por sua vida. 

Enquanto a mãe de Kamilla trabalhava para manter a casa, sua irmã, Thandara Marinho, dedicou os últimos anos como cuidadora principal, cuidando em tempo integral da irmã e do sobrinho. Com apenas a mãe trabalhando, pode-se imaginar a tensão financeira que isso causou na família. Kamilla era verdadeiramente amada por todos ao seu redor, e sua família deseja proporcionar a ela o serviço do funeral que ela imaginou para si mesma antes de falecer.
