From the father/husband: "The twins had a rare condition (TTTS) which is Twin-to-twin transfusion where the identical twins share the same placenta. AJ underwent a specialty surgery in Miami to try and save both girls. Unfortunately it did not work, the smallest twin girl did not make it past 16 weeks but was carried until the larger twin was miscarried on October 27th. She then had hemorrhaging and the next day suffered from severe septic shock shutting down her organs. An Emergency hysterectomy was performed to save her life and she is awaiting life flight to UF Shands in Gainesville for organ observation.

From Robin: AJ is my bestfriend and I was her maid of honor!! but AJ has been having an incredibly tough twin pregnancy w multiple complications. Both babies have been miscarried and medical bills are outrageous. Despite these circumstances, I'd like to be here for her and ask for all the support we could. She's strong, smart, always a joy and the comedian of any room, a great veterinarian who cares more for others than she does herself.
