West Hills House Fire Burn Victim AJ Salvatore

WEST HILLS, LOS ANGELES HOUSE FIRE.
Anthony John Salvatore (AJ) is in critical condition following a fire at his family's home in West Hills Monday night January 7th. AJ is a 27 year old UCSB graduate, brother to Andrew and Daniel, son of Fredo and Martha Salvatore, and loving friend to many!

Firefighters arrived to the one-story home on Gross Avenue, near Vanowen Street, at about 11:30 p.m.  A total of 38 firefighters had the flames knocked down in 17 minutes, according to Los Angeles firefighters.

AJ was found unconscious in his room by his father and younger brother Daniel. AJ suffered severe burns to his arms, shoulders, chin, and nose. He arrived in the ER and was immediately intubated and put under to allow his body to heal as much as possible.

Tuesday morning January 8th AJ had emergency surgery for skin grafts on his shoulders, nose, and cheeks.

He is currently on a ventilator now and has been transferred to the Torrance Memorial Medical Center where he will remain throughout his recovery.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Family and friends of the Salvatore family will do anything and everything we can to help AJ towards recovery. Thank you for your time in reading his story. We are grateful for everyone who is able to donate to help with AJ's medical costs and to the Salvatore Family's needs. Any donation amount is appreciated, and please only donate if you are able to.
