Bubba's Battle to BEAT Cancer
Donation protected
AJ (better known as Bubba) and the Alanis Family are in need of URGENT help! On January 19th, 2017, 2-year-old AJ Alanis was diagnosed with a very rare form of Cancer known as Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumor (AT/RT). AT/RT is a very rare and fast-growing cancerous tumor of the brain and spinal cord. AT/RT is found in fewer than 10% of children with brain tumors and is most often seen in children age 3 or younger. Recently, AJ successfully underwent surgery to remove his 8 cm tumor in his brain, but due to the fact that AT/RT is an aggresive form of cancer, the likelihood of other tumors forming is very high.
AJ's parents, Adrian and Emily, noticed that AJ would often complain about headaches, had trouble with his vision, and sometimes was a little off balanced. They took AJ to a few doctors and neurologists, but none of them thought anything of it due to the fact that he was a baby and was too little to know if he was actually feeling any pain. A few days later, Emily noticed that AJ had a tremor in his right hand, and knew that something wasn't right, so she immediately took AJ to a different neurologist in town and explained everything. After examining AJ, and watching him walk, the neurologist knew that something was off, and so he admitted AJ into Rio Grande Regional Hospital in Edinburg, Texas where AJ underwent an MRI, CT scan, and other medical examinations. After recieving the results, AJ was transferred to the Doctor's Hospital of Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas because of a large mass that was found in his brain. On January 9th, 2017, baby AJ went in for surgery on his brain, and the Neurosurgeon was able to successfully remove his tumor and send it off for a biopsy. On January 24th, 2017, Adrian and Emily recieved the news that AJ was diagnosed with AT/RT and are now being sent to the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas.
With all of this going on being so sudden, it has left the Alanis family heartbroken and devastated. We are asking for any donations, small or large, to help the Alanis family with the financial burden that AJ's fight with Cancer will bring. As of what is known right now, AJ will be receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments to fight AT/RT and hope that it will be gone from his little body and never return.

Adrian (22), and Emily (22), are young parents trying to raise their 2 children, Sophia (4), and AJ (2) as best that they can, but under the current circumstances, it has been very difficult, financially and emotionally. Emily, who is a stay-at-home mom will be staying with AJ at Texas Children's Hospital, while Adrian travels back and forth between work and the hospital to try and receive as much income possible to help with the medical fees. Unfortunately, they cannot do this alone, and appreciate any and all donations so that Adrian, Emily, and Sophia can be right by AJ's side supporting him and providing him the strength that he will need to win this battle with AT/RT.
The Alanis family is staying strong in their faith with the Lord and truly believe in the plan that he has for AJ. Psalm 71:14 in the Bible says, "As for me, I will always have hope." and that's exactly what the Alanis Family has - HOPE. They ask for your continued prayers, blessings, and donations through this difficult time in their life as their son Bubba, battles cancer.
Thank you so much, and blessings to all!
