At only 32 years old, Rita Saltarelli has been diagnosed with inflammatory Breast cancer (IBC) IBC is a rare, aggressive form of breast cancer for which there is no cure. Rita has consulted with the MD Anderson Morgan Welsh Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Program and Clinic in Houston Texas. The doctors there have put together a specialized treatment plan for her. This plan will include chemo, surgery, radiation and indefinite infusions to help manage this disease long term.
Rita is a loving wife and mother of 3 young children. She has spent years as a nurse taking care of others, most recently as an ICU nurse in the Covid Unit during the pandemic. We would like to give back to Rita and her family as she has given so much to others.
We would ask first that all of you would pray for Rita and her family as she begins treatments in the next few weeks. Specifically, pray that she responds well and is able to continue the difficult treatment plan in front of her.
Pray for them as they continue to trust the Lord and lean on Him for guidance and wisdom these next several months.
We would also like to give you an opportunity to be a blessing to the Saltarelli’s by giving to them financially during this time.
Over the next several months, Rita will be making trips to Houston, Texas to work with doctors at MD Anderson as she fights this cancer. We would like to help ease the financial burden for this family by raising money to help with travel and out-of-pocket medical expenses that will incur.
Please help support this sweet family in this most difficult time.
