Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking story of Ajowah Lindsay, a beloved 27-year-old Security Coordinator and Okanagan College graduate. Ajowah was a bright soul who had recently celebrated Christmas with joy, having cooked a beautiful dinner that filled the room with warmth and laughter. Little did we know that it would be her last.

On Tuesday, December 26, Ajowah did not wake up. She peacefully left us in her sleep, leaving her loved ones in shock and disbelief. This sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled, as Ajowah's presence radiated kindness, hard work, and the determination to build a better life.

Just last week, Ajowah received her Permanent Residency (PR) card in the mail, a milestone she had been eagerly anticipating for seven long years. She had worked tirelessly, contributing to the community and embodying the spirit of resilience that many immigrants face in a new land. Her dedication to her job as a security coordinator, her pursuit of education, and her commitment to building a future in her adopted home were evident to all who knew her.

Ajowah was not just a security coordinator; she was a hero among her team. Last year, during her duty, she courageously saved a life and was hailed as a hero. She got the highest life saviour award. Her selflessness and bravery left an indelible mark on her colleagues, further illustrating the depth of her character.

As an Okanagan College graduate, Ajowah's passion for education and personal growth was unwavering. She strived to better herself and her community, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to cross paths with her.

Ajowah's story is not just one of an untimely passing; it is a testament to the dreams and aspirations of someone who worked hard to make a meaningful life for herself. The suddenness of her departure has left her family and friends grappling with grief and financial burdens associated with unexpected loss.

As we come together to mourn Ajowah's passing, we also seek your support to alleviate the financial strain on her grieving family. The funds raised will be used to cover funeral expenses, outstanding bills, and any other immediate needs that arise during this challenging time.

Please join us in honoring Ajowah's memory by contributing to this GoFundMe campaign. Your generosity will not only provide practical assistance but also serve as a compassionate reminder of the strength found in community and the ability to rally around those in need.

Let us come together to remember Ajowah Lindsay, a woman whose impact reached far beyond the roles she played in life. May her spirit live on through the love and support we extend to her family during this difficult time.

With heartfelt gratitude,
