On June 6th, my world changed forever. My partner, Ajoni Hooks-Stuckey, passed away suddenly at just 25 years old. He was my best friend, my steady place, and the most devoted father to our child. His love shaped our little family, and losing him so unexpectedly has left a hole that I’m still struggling to understand.

As I work through the heartbreak, I’m also faced with the practical challenges that come with loss. I’m raising our child—who has special needs—and trying to manage the day-to-day while planning a funeral that honors Ajoni’s life and spirit. I’m also in need of a reliable vehicle to continue getting our child to appointments and school.
