In 2014 at the age of 20, my brother  AJ was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor at the base of his brain. He had a port placed and has been receiving low dose Chemo treatments since then, to help keep the tumor from growing. The chemo doctor started him on a chemo pill, as well as continuing chemo with the port, in hopes the tumor will start to shrink. Recently he spent a week in the hospital with aspiration pneumonia and had to have a short surgery. He’s been experiencing right side numbness since. He works part time at UPS, but he currently off until after the first of the new year. AJ has a physical therapist, occupational therapist, and a speech therapist that he sees several times a week. He’s getting better with each day, but being off work is not helping him financially.
