Sponsorship Support

Hello! My name is Katherine, and I am sponsoring a family of four from Central America. I first met the family in 2020 while they were waiting to enter the U.S. to seek asylum. They had an appointment to enter the U.S. the exact same week the border closed due to COVID, and their appointment was canceled. Little did anyone know it would take three more years of waiting to be able to finally enter the U.S. So in August of 2023 the family reached out to me to ask if I could be their sponsor so that they could enter the U.S. to start their asylum process, and I said yes :)

They have now been living with me for two months and we think it is time for them to move into their own place. However as they wait for work permits and do not have a rental history in the U.S. it is quite hard to find a place that is affordable and that will accept them.
