Shannon Miller’s funeral expenses.

Hey everyone, my heart hurts and I don’t know if I can put it in the right words, but my sweet bonus mama passed away 3/10/25. I’m not going to go into much detail, but she was a fighter, no doubt about it. They denied her life insurance due to her being a type 1 diabetic, and it being so bad. Dad has tried for 3 years, but they kept telling him no. She was the glue that held us together; she was everyone’s shoulder to cry on and always had the right words at the right time. She was an amazing mother, sister, wife, and friend. As for me, I was never treated as a “step-daughter.” My brother and I were just her children that she didn’t birth but helped raise and love without any hesitation. She was due to be a grandmother in late June. This is the first grand-baby for our family, a sweet little baby boy. We know for sure she would have spoiled him. We are lost, heartbroken, and terrified. We know she’s not hurting anymore and not having to worry about her health, and catching up with our family and friends who have already passed. But her not being here on earth with us is ripping us apart. She loved so many people and wasn’t afraid to tell you. She was our biggest blessing that we will forever be thankful for.

We just need a little help with funeral costs, as she and my dad lived on a single income and medical bills will probably be coming in soon, especially from her 17-day stay in Vanderbilt with her surgery before this. Anything is greatly appreciated; she deserves the best we can get her as she did so much for us our whole lives. We go tomorrow to make arrangements for her so funeral dates will be posted later on.

update : services will be Tuesday (time tbd) at Gallant-Riverview funeral home in Fayetteville, TN. We are trying to raise enough for funeral cost and get a headstone.
