Hi, we are not ones to do this at all, but we have come to something in our lives that was unexpected and very unprepared for. Our daughter Baby Azalea J Caballero was diagnosed on July 8, 2015 with a cancerous tumor, Hepatoblastoma, attached to her liver and less than 1cm away from a major artery. Baby Azalea is only 3 months old and has been in and out of the hospital for the past two weeks. She is a fighter, has a beautiful smile and a vivacious personality. Her journey to a full recovery will not be easy. She is soon to start chemo to reduce the size of the tumor and in the near future have it completely removed. However her daddy and i have had to stop working for a while to be with her through this ordeal and be her backbone. We are struggling to make ends meet due to the distance between our home and her care facility. We would not change a thing and would do it again in a heartbeat. Please understand we are not asking for funds for our own personal enjoyment, we are trying to be there for all our 5 kids, especially our baby Azalea, at the same time we are trying to keep afloat with gas for our vehicle to take her to and from chemo. We are not looking to get rich or to stop working completely, thats not us, just enough to get us through this. Her recovery is going to be a long one and tough on all of us. We are atleast looking at a rough 6-8 months ahead of us, doesnt mean that will be the end of our babys road to recovery but it will be the roughest in trying to adjust with our work and money situation.
