Support Gavin Rupert's Fight Against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Donation protected
In May 2024, Gavin Rupert, a senior at Pine-Richland High School, dedicated swimmer, and son of Jeff and Terri Rupert was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Over the next five months, he faced eight rounds of grueling chemotherapy with unshakable courage and faith. His September PET scan brought the news everyone had prayed for: remission.

But just three months later, Gavin’s follow-up scan showed signs of relapse. The cancer had returned.

Since January, Gavin has undergone four rounds of immunotherapy. Now, he's preparing to face his greatest battle yet. On May 5, Gavin was admitted to the hospital for port and PICC line placement, followed by an intense week of high-dose chemotherapy and a stem cell/bone marrow transplant, using his own cells, which offers his best chance to beat this disease for good. The process requires a 4–6 week hospitalization, followed by a month of daily radiation treatments and a full year of maintenance immunotherapy.

Despite it all, Gavin remains unbreakably positive. He leans on his deep Catholic faith, never complains, and continues to inspire everyone around him with his resilience. Those who know Gavin describe him as “sunshine and steel”, always smiling, yet fiercely determined. The “Gavinator,” as his family lovingly calls him, is tough as nails. He’s locked in for this next round and he will get through it.

We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden of mounting medical bills as Gavin’s journey continues. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly to helping the Rupert family focus on what matters most: getting Gavin well.

Please consider donating, sharing this page, and most of all keeping Gavin and the Rupert family in your thoughts and prayers.

With gratitude,
Dan and Susie Pedersen
