Second liver transplant

Hi! Most of my friends and family know the struggle we have been through with my dad recently. He got his liver transplant a year and a half ago and has had trouble with it since day one. After many infections, tube placements and exchanges, an eye infection causing him to have his right eye removed completely, a random tree falling on top of him as he was walking through his yard on a sunny day, and 1 year of IV PICC line meds 3x a day… he was placed on the list for a second transplant. Today we got that call. UAB does not have assistive housing for long term stays. They have “discounted hotel stays” at 90-130$ a night. My parents are required to stay 4-6 weeks and eat 3 meals a day. This is a huge financial burden for anybody, and this will be our second go round. We appreciate your love and support.
