Support for Summer

Hello, my name is Chuck Hattaway. I am trying to raise funds for my wife, Summer. We have always worked hard for everything we have. Never asking for handouts, always ready to help anyone that needs it.

Summer has had headaches for several years; we have always thought it was from allergies. About a year ago, she started losing her hair and weight, and it seemed like the tiniest thing would turn into a major catastrophe. She went to a doctor, and he put her on medical leave from work, calling it "stress." Her symptoms started ranging from numbness to joint stiffness to rambling and inability to say what she was thinking. Symptoms just keep getting worse and worse. After another doctor finally listened to her and found it was not just stress but something neurological. She has had multiple X-rays and MRIs, and still no diagnosis. The MRI did show a cyst on her peneal gland. Her neurologist and a neurosurgeon say the cyst has nothing to do with her symptoms. We are now scheduled to see an MS specialist. During this time, the company she works for decided to stop paying her medical leave pay. In this economy, it is hard enough to make ends meet. It is nearly impossible on one income. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
