AJ Wasserman Eagle Project

My name is AJ Wasserman and I am a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop 224 in Hartland, WI. I am currently working towards the prestigious rank of Eagle and I need your help! As part of my advancement, I have been tasked with planning and carrying out a service project to benefit my community. My project entails planning and building computers to donate to Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Milwaukee.

Cristo Rey Jesuit, a Catholic high school for young women and men of all faiths and limited financial needs, integrates rigorous academics, professional work experiences, and spiritual development to empower graduates to succeed in college and life.
I became aware of this school because my dad’s employer, US Bank, participates in Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study program.

My goal is to build six desktop computers, complete with peripherals and software, with a team of Boy Scout volunteers. My Eagle Project will contribute to the future success of Cristo Rey’s Computer and Science clubs. While carrying out my project, I will demonstrate leadership by instructing Scout volunteers how to assemble the computers. I will teach them how different components of a computer function. They will also learn skills such as upgrading components, installing an operating system, and troubleshooting a broken computer. Once the computers are assembled, my team and I will personally deliver them to Cristo Rey Jesuit. The final step will be setting up the computers at the school.

As mentioned, I am asking for your help to complete this project. I need to raise $3,250 by October 16th to purchase all necessary components. Exceeding my goal will enable me to build and donate additional computers or upgrade components. All donations, regardless of amount, would be greatly appreciated.
