Hi my name is Rachel, I’m the aunt of AJ and sister to Elena Quintero. My nephew who is 10 yrs old and full of life, he recently had an accident that turned his life and his families upside down. AJ loves life to the fullest. He loves pizza, his dogs, board games, video games and being with family. AJ recently had an injury that caused him to fracture his arm. When taken to two different Urgent Cares & then sent to a Pediatric Orthopedic Doctor my sister Elena and her husband Allen were called to pack a bag and bring AJ in immediately. When they arrived they were told they had found two masses that were tumor like and needed to admit him and run lots of tests. I can’t imagine being a parent with that call and not knowing what’s to come. That day was the beginning of what felt like no end in sight and every parents nightmare to think of your child having Cancer and watching them go through the unthinkable. My sister had no choice to stop working and be there for her son full time as any mom would. Allen her husband and AJ’s dad has been working two jobs for awhile and now more then ever this family needs all the help they can get. AJ has been undergoing tests and we do know he indeed has Cancer and they have put a port in to start Chemotherapy.
