AJ & Blaire Rivard - House Fire

Donation protected
On Thursday April 1st, AJ and Blaire Rivard got the shock of a lifetime that was anything but an April fools joke.  Both at work at the time when the fire broke out, Blaire learned of a brush fire blaze that was being fought from co-workers that sounded very much like the area of their home.  She raced home with just enough time to pack up their 2 dogs; Leia and Grizzly as well as a few belongings before the Rocky View County fire department burst through the front gate to evacuate the area.  Luckily, the 17 chickens and duck Rosie that live with them at what is known as "the farm" by family and friends were saved by the fire department and have since been re-united back with the family.

Unfortunately for AJ and Blaire, returning to the farm anytime soon is not an option.   Fire took a large part of the beautiful log cabin roof, front porch and smoke has heavily damaged the inside of the home.  With fighting any blaze also comes great water damage.  The basement and main floor are currently flooded and will take many months to be repaired.  A go-fund me account has been started to support them with basics, necessities and rent for the next few months while they get back on their feet.
