This is Allen Ziemke. Many of you know him as AJ. He has been living in Thailand for the last few years teaching English. He is married to a lovely woman named Kansuda.

He sent the three of us sisters a message via Messenger with some devastating news. He had been having some pain for a couple of weeks and had been feeling tired for longer than that. He went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Stage Four Liver Cancer. He also had a perforation in his GI tract that required emergent surgery.

He is now at home after a very short hospital stay. They provided him with hospital bills daily. His insurance company, unfortunately, pays very little. He is at home now on a high level of oxygen. Drains, dressing changes, he has a lot of pain, and a lot of work for his wife. Work that she is very unfamiliar with.

AJ is very concerned about the bills and plans to seek no more care. He is tired and upset with everything that has happened since Thursday, 9/24. He has all of the drains and tubes to deal with, not to mention the cancer. He has decisions to make in regard to that.
