Help for Rie !

Hi everyone,

My name is Gabriele and I am writing on behalf of my dear friend Rie Sakurai.

Rie is 39 years old, and she came into this world with a heart disease that for about 20 years has forced her to live with a pacemaker and undergo numerous clinical checks every year.

Furthermore, Rie suffers from a rare syndrome called "Cerebrospinal fluid volume depletion syndrome", which consists in the loss of cerebrospinal fluid at a point at the base of the skull, and which in turn compromises her memory, speech, hearing, and makes her live with very severe headaches preventing her from leading to normal life.

Because of all these reasons, sometimes it is really difficult for Rie to breathe and move independently, and the only system capable of supporting her in these moments is an "oxygen concentrator" to carry with her, and to use when needed.

Last summer Rie's heart decided to stop several times, but despite everything she is still here, donating smiles and instilling courage and hope in anyone who is going through a difficult moment in their life.

Not being able to afford further expenses for the same medical reasons, I would like to help Her through this fundraiser and give her a "portable oxygen concentrator" that will allow her to continue living her life with more freedom and dignity.
