Help Dr. Abdallah rebuilding his dental clinic and dreams
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Carlo, and I'm helping Abdallah rebuild his dental clinic. Abdallah is a fellow dentist who lives in Rafah. His dental clinic, like everything else, was destroyed by Israeli bombings. I've known Abdallah since he was a student and attended events organized by the International Association of Dental Students. He finally realized his dream of opening his own dental clinic, which was destroyed shortly after its inauguration. The funds will be used to help Abdallah rebuild his clinic and fulfill his dreams. The funds will be transferred directly to Abdallah's account. He asked me to help him start a GoFundMe campaign for him, as it would have been impossible otherwise.
Below a message from him
Hello world,
I’m Dr. Abdallah Albordaini resident of Rafah, Gaza Strip (Palestine). I'm a Dentist, owner of COSMO DENTAL CLINIC, the cofounder president of Palestinian Association of Dental Students, Facial Aesthetic Specialist, international Speaker in Aesthetic Medicine, and Cofounder of Doctors For Your Sakes Organization DFYSO.

I am reaching out to you in a time of profound urgency and desperation. Here is the war, approaching the completion of its second year, two years in which fear, starvation, killing and genocide have spread, a war that has robbed people of their most basic rights. Day after day, life get worse until you think every moment that no one will survive this genocide, as the barbaric bombing affects everyone. Hardly a few minutes pass until you hear the sound of warplanes, the sound of gunfire, the sounds of shells, or you are unlucky and watch the missiles targeting homes and people in front of your eyes without mercy.
We have suffered a lot in this war. What we have lived through is unimaginable and impossible for a mind to imagine. We have experienced the bitterness of these days between displacement from one place to another, only to struggle for survival in search of safety between fear and survival between death that haunts you as if you were the prey and the victim.

In the end, you end up living in a nylon tent that does not protect you from the cold of winter or the heat of summer, in addition to suffering from insect bites and the absence of the elements of a decent life that the simplest people wish for.

Instead of being in my clinic and with my patients, the war made me unemployed with no future. I have survived four previous wars, but this one is the most violent of all. I have lost more than 25 kilograms of weight, and I even feel unbalanced and nauseous, and more than once I fall to the ground unconscious because of malnutrition in light of the starvation we are experiencing in the Gaza Strip.
I am certain that dreams were created to come true God has blessed me with limitless ambition since I was young until I became a successful doctor. I love excellence and the distinguished, and I dreamed of becoming one of the brilliant dentists whose successes are pointed to with the finger.
I have participated in many international forums and medical conferences as a representative of Palestine, where every year I am chosen as an ambassador for many international conferences and organizations.

One Month before the war, I prepared myself to attend and participate in more than one medical conference in more than one country. I am waiting for the opportunity, and I hope that the time will come to travel and achieve my dreams. I see myself standing tall as I stand in front of participant on the stage of as an international lecturer presenting my knowledge and experience in the field of dentistry and facial aesthetic.

I preferred to remain dutiful to my mother, a support and a helper to her. She was my beating heart; she was my paradise in this world. There is no one for her after God except me. Her body was exhausted by cancer, which made her a withered rose that could not handle anything.
My mother's voice bothers me every day. She was denied treatment. She received one dose of chemotherapy every week, until she was injured when the Turkish hospital where she was receiving treatment was bombed and she was martyred.

Not even 7 months had passed since the opening of my clinic COSMO DENTAL CLINIC until the war came. The name was chosen carefully and meticulously until I named it with this name . Because I love beauty and details. It was a masterpiece, and everyone who visited me felt spontaneous comfort. Every corner had details that told a story, as Its harmonious colours between artistic decorations and furniture, the colour of the dental clinic, and the beauty of the decoration in the beauty clinic that comforts the eye and the attractive scent of air freshener.

Until the war came, it made the dream a nightmare that never left my mind. When my lawyer neighbor told me that the building he and I were renting in was still standing, only some damage to the facade of the first floor, I felt that it was still there some hope.
After nearly two years away from my clinic, I missed my beautiful morning there, the smell of lavender, a cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate, and the calm until patients visited me to start working.

It is impossible for me to forget those moments. When the army threw leaflets at us, you must evacuate the city of Rafah immediately, and scenes of storage have loomed over the city. These scenes never leave my mind. The displacement began and thousands of people you see for the first time in the street, where are all these numbers from, everyone is rushing quickly, not knowing where to escape, so you cannot carry anything with you, everyone is just saying, "I will survive myself", You don't know if you will survive or not, even many of us have run away barefoot and shells have started falling on us as if it were rain from its intensity. We have seen death with our own eyes. I am killed by internal pain because I am a helpless doctor. You cannot help someone, carry some of the injured, or recover the bodies of those who were martyred. You see many of them lying on the ground, scenes that do not disappear.
When the truce and ceasefire were in place, it was impossible for me to reach our neighbourhood or my clinic. The army is still present in these places, but you risk yourself.
In the evening, my radiologist friend called me. His medical centre is near my clinic, and he said to me, "May God compensate you, my friend." The building was targeted, and the clinic was completely bombed. The news was like a thunderbolt; I had moments of silence for a few minutes and then I felt like my heart had stopped beating.

My cousin went to the neighbourhood where we live secretly, risking himself, and photographed the neighbourhood, which is a pile of rubble, as there is no house suitable for housing unless it is hit by a shell or missile. Your tears flow automatically as you see your house become a pile of rubble, the house in which you grew up, leaving behind your memories and details of your childhood, a terrifying feeling.

I want to save myself from this murder that affected humans and stones, and leave Gaza anywhere, far from the sounds of bombing and scenes of killing and genocide. I have a big dream to start working again in my own clinic away from the atmosphere of war, genocide, psychological destruction, and join a university and complete my studies in Aesthetics Dentistry. No matter how small or large the amount is, it is a lifeline for me, helping me stand up again. Your help is extremely important in these critical times, as it makes a big difference in preserving my future to continue my work, provide a decent life, and restore what remains of my dreams.
