Aislynn's Fight Against Rare Neurological Illness- AFM

Donation protected
On April 9th, our precious little 14-month-old daughter, Aislynn, was admitted into the hospital in Rockford, Illinois. Many tests were performed, and due to some inconclusive results, she was then transferred to Madison, Wisconsin, to American Family Children’s Hospital for further evaluation. On April 10th, her devastating diagnosis was revealed as Acute Flaccid Myelitis.

Acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) is a rare but serious neurological condition that affects the spinal cord and nerves that control muscles. It's similar to polio and can cause sudden muscle weakness, sometimes leading to permanent paralysis.

We have now been relocated from our home to Madison for an extended period of time. I, myself, have been fighting breast cancer for the last 8 months (chemotherapy and surgery on February 12th). I had just returned back to work for only 5 days before we received our daughter’s newfound journey- back again out of work for several months. While I continue radiation and immunotherapy, I will also be taking on her fight hand in hand.

Our family would ask at this time for any help as we navigate through these difficult times. Any donations for her or our family can also be sent directly to our home (family members can get things out to us) 226 Grand Ave, Loves Park IL 61111.
