Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions in the world and for 65% of people with epilepsy there is no cure!
I am running the Ealing Half Marathon in memory of my little sister Maeve Mitchell who passed away from epilepsy in 2012 aged only 8 years old.
Maeve was such a bubbly, smiley, happy little girl who we all cherished and miss so dearly and i couldn't think of anyone better to run this race for! I will be channeling her contagious energy on the run to help me through and would appreciate any donations you can offer to fund the research needed to find a cure for Epilepsy.
Epilepsy has deeply effected our family and the condition is not yet fully understood, highlighting the need for continued funding to help find a cure. The Epilepsy Research Institute’s mission is to radically advance research for the 1 in 100 people living with epilepsy.
A life free from epilepsy is possible. But only through research.
I miss you so much Maeve and love you endlessly, this one’s for you!
from your big sister xxx
