Aisha was one of a kind; a force of nature, a source of joy and light. She was a once in a lifetime friend who shaped our lives. We, and so many others, are better people for having had the privilege of knowing her. Losing Aisha at just 25 feels impossible to put into words.
As Aisha's dad Matthew said, if one's life is measured in its contents, and not the number of years lived, then we should all strive for a life as full and beautiful as Aisha's. Aisha lived in a way that touched people profoundly, and that kind of presence doesn’t disappear, we will carry her with us forever.
We are in the process of organising for a bench to be installed on the river in West London. We are discussing its exact location and when it will be installed with Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Given we have now surpassed the fundraising goal for the bench, all additional donations will be made to Down’s Syndrome Association, a cause very close to Aisha's heart.
Following in the footsteps of Aisha’s infamous annual quiz, we will be hosting a pub quiz later in the year to raise money for both the bench and causes close to Aisha’s heart.
Any donation, big or small, would mean so much to us.
Thank you for your support.
