On October 19th (Wednesday), my mother-in-law and brother-in-law were killed in this tragic accident:
Fatal Accident in Jacksonville Kills Mother and Son
My husband and I live on a tiny island off the coast of Nagasaki, Japan. I am a kindergarten teacher with four schoolchildren. We had just used our small savings to pay for braces and my eldest son's school trip. Just yesterday. Literally hours before we got the terrible news.

It is very important that my husband is able to make the trip back to help his father with the double funeral. They were a small family and now half of their family is gone. My husband will go back for the funeral and intends to remain in America to help sort out his mother and brother's affairs for a month or so afterward.

Any financial assistance you can provide to help my husband bury his mother and brother will be greatly appreciated. The money I have listed as our target is terribly enough how much a round trip ticket from Fukuoka to Jacksonville, Florida costs.

Being so far away from family and friends is always hard but not being able to get back in time to be of service during this trying time is heartwrenching.
