The AirDawgs are a returning team from Southern Illinois University Carbondale competing in the 2026 Women’s Air Race Classic. An all-women’s cross-country air race spanning approximately 2,400 miles across the United States. This year’s team is piloted by Sophie Schappe (L) and Grace Gray (R).

We are thrilled to be competing this year but cannot do it without your help. Funds raised will help cover race entry fees, lodging and travel expenses. Your support not only helps us reach the starting line, but also supports women in aviation and inspires the next generation of female pilots to chase their dreams.
