AER LINGUS - A HISTORY IN PROFILE is a book which I have been working on and putting together over the past 4 years showing the airlines development through its varied colour schemes and branding from 1936 to the current company livery.

I have produced over 100 pieces of art work for the book, they are all side profiles of the aircraft flown by the airline through the years. The artwork contained in the book charts the many and varied colour schemes worn by aircraft owned and leased by the airline. Below are some of the aircraft which appear in the book and the number of varying colour schemes that are illustrated.

Boeing 707 - 15 variations of Aer Lingus branding illustrated.
Boeing 737 - 19 variations of Aer Lingus branding illustrated.
Boeing 747 - 10 variations of Aer Lingus branding illustrated.
Airbus A330 - 3 variations of Aer Lingus branding illustrated.
All aircraft flown by the airline are included in the book from 1936 to present day.
The book has been designed / written by myself taking advantage of my time as a Graphic Designer (Many years ago!). This has helped with the production of the book enormously.
This book is something that I have wanted to produce for nearly 20 years. I finally started working on it in 2016. At the beginning of 2019 however I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the brain and underwent surgery, radio therapy and chemo and have since lost 25% of my eye sight. I eventually got back to working on the book earlier this year albeit a little slower!
The money raised from this gofundme is to solely pay for printing costs. Printing is the last hurdle in this project and any funding will greatly contribute to seeing this book come to fruition.
