Help Us Keep Our Classrooms Cool

Every child deserves the chance to learn in a classroom where they feel comfortable, safe and able to do their best.

At Queen Eleanor Primary School, our children love coming to school. They work hard, play hard and make us proud every single day. But during periods of hot weather, our classrooms can become unbearably hot. As temperatures continue to rise each summer, we've found ourselves facing a challenge we simply can't ignore.

On the hottest days, classrooms become so warm that children struggle to concentrate, staff have to adapt lessons, and we have even had to cancel clubs and activities because the heat makes our learning environments uncomfortable.

Like many small schools, we have to make every pound of our budget count. Funding is focused on teaching, learning, staffing and maintaining our school, leaving very little for improvements such as air conditioning. While we'd love to fund this ourselves, it's simply beyond what our budget can stretch to.

That's why we're asking for your help.

Our goal is to raise enough money to install four air conditioning unit in the classrooms most affected by the heat. These units will make an enormous difference not just on the hottest days, but throughout the summer months, helping children stay comfortable, focused and ready to learn.

This isn't about luxury; it's about creating the best possible environment for our pupils. A cooler classroom means children can concentrate more easily, teachers can teach more effectively, and everyone can enjoy school, even during heatwaves.

Whether you can donate £5, £20 or £100, every contribution brings us closer to our goal. If you're unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser with friends, family, neighbours or local businesses could make all the difference.
