Hello, my name is Gary. I would like to raise some money to help the Air Ambulance service that helps people in need in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

My lovely wife Valerie needed life saving neuro vascular surgery and it was the wonderful ability of the Helicopter to transport her from our home in Canterbury to Kings College hospital in London in only 14 minutes that made a life saving difference .

The speed of being able to transport her so quickly and into the specialist care of an operating team certainly saved her life and will hopefully allow positive recovery.

She has been given the very best chance of life, and quality of life and I owe the whole team a massive debt of gratitude and heartfelt thanks.

We often see someone collecting for the air ambulance and like me walk on by.

My eyes are opened and I would like to help the service in any way I can.

This time it was my wife Valerie who has been given the chance of life.

Tomorrow it will be some else's loved one .
