Our dear friend Aimee is a professional photographer and single Mom of 4. She homeschools her children and provides a happy, healthy home for her family.
On friday 5/27 Aimee was doing yardwork when her hand was suddenly caught in her gas-powered leaf blower badly injuring her left hand. The doctors initially recommended amputation, but upon review by a team of specialists at Stanford Medical Center, they were able to save most of her left index and middle fingers. Her fingers above the last knuckle are mostly gone and she will have a long road to recovery.
The physical trauma was extensive and will leave her with limited use of her hand in the short term, and a lot of unknowns in the long-term. Additional surgeries are likely necessary, but we don’t yet know the success of the initial emergency surgery performed late Friday night. The emotional trauma will also be a lot for her to manage along with the happy grind of her family life.
As a professional photographer she relies on her hands for obvious reasons. As a single Mom she relies not only on her hands for changing diapers, and making healthy dinners, but also on her emotions and mental wellbeing to provide a happy home for her family.
Our friend needs your help.
Food. Gas. Babysitting. Medical appointments. Emotional support. Pet care. All basic needs that are suddenly desperately needed, but with no income coming in, are very difficult to budget for.
Please support Aimee and her family. No amount is too small, and no amount is too large. We sincerely appreciate your help to get through this challenging time.
